A luxury cottage that transports you to another time

In the early 1800s, The Blackhouse would have been the original home for the crofters (tenant farmers), which they would have shared with their animals.

The Hebridean Blackhouse, or ‘taigh-dubh’ in Gaelic, were traditional dwellings that were common in the Hebrides, including the Isle of Skye, throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. They were so named because of the dark, peat-smoke-stained thatch and walls that often characterized their appearance.

This, along with the adjacent hayloft have now been unified to create a luxurious and cosy home.
